About FishPig

What can we say about Pablum FishPig that isn't already well-known?

There are the bare bones of his biography. Born to the Nimalest of parents in NY1946 in the Province of Brooklyn, FishPig had, as you might expect, a rather "odd" time while attending Nimal schools. Eventually, he was more than properly educated. But, nevertheless, he insisted on continuing the study of Nimal Philosophy, maintaining that it gave him "a good insight into the psychology" of his chosen object of special study.

While many of FishPig's most telling insights were gathered while he was in one of his alternate forms, the majority of them come from actually walking among the Nimals. To do so, he (semi-realistically) took on the guise of actual Nimal occupations. The list of things that FishPig "was" includes: hospital orderly, philosophy teacher, artist, analyst, tarot card reader, knowledge engineer and merchant. ((To his credit (it must be said): he never earned much money at any of these things!))

Besides authoring the highly esteemed FishPig's Updated, Annotated, Illustrated Guide to the Ways of Nimals, FishPig also wrote: Elevators, Bicycles & Pogo Sticks: Nimal Modes of Transportation, "Fish Food": A Nimal Hoax and How to Win Friends and Influence Nimals: Best Spells for the Social Climber. He's also contributed numerous scholarly articles to journals too obscure to even mention.

These days, FishPig mostly prefers to stay in his humanoid form, although he often speaks longingly of "the warmth and closeness of the swine barn" and "the simple finiteness of the aquarium." He still sometimes vacations in one of his alternate forms, claiming "it's more restful and much cheaper."

Although Pablum is currently far away, in the Zubenelgenubi System, and answers email from us very slowly, he tells me that all NON-EDITORS can write to him at ... and that he has some "secret" way of getting them fast replies. So, you can try, if you want to.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the small compendium of available images of FishPig, reproduced below.

FishPig with his first, trainer-wand
Young Pablum FishPig experiments with his first wand -- a "trainer" model. The building behind him, temporarily unrecognizable in this photograph, is actually the Washington Monument in Washington, DC, USA.

FishPig (partly shown in lower right) visits one of his families, living in a plush swine barn in Ithaca, NY. When he returned from this trip, he reported (with great satisfaction) that "All the food was pure swill!"
Here, we have a rare, relatively recent photo of Pablum FishPig. He is shown in his study, just days before his departure for the Zubenelgenubi System.
