Pablum FishPig, temporary
resident of Earth, was born on an Equinox in Brooklyn some while ago.
He grew up around there, got a decent education and had his share of a
variety of
normally-abnormal experiences. He studied mathematics in college ... mostly out of an aesthetic appreciation for its abstractness. But, he decided to get his degree in philosophy and went on with that in grad school -- specializing in philosophy of psychology, ordinary language and Wittgenstein.... with a dissertation on the topic of emotions. Pablum had a few happy years of teaching philosophy at an Ivy League College.... until a confluence of complicated factors pushed him to do something else. Occupation-wise, he has been, since then: substitute teacher, balloon vendor, artist, tarot reader, buttonmaker, computer consultant, knowledge engineer, analyst of high tech trade press, writer, web designer, online vendor of apple crates and etc.. Pablum is mostly interested in "the ordinary" ... and has been studying it all his life. His specialization is Beginnings. He is, perhaps, most famous for his statements of "FishPig's Laws": (1) What's impossible cannot be necessary. (2) Misunderstanding is the rule ... and not the exception. Pablum is living quietly on a riverbank in NH, in the companionship of cats. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you're interested in details of Pablum's life, you'd enjoy reading the peculiar book that's for sale on this website: My Trip Abroad. According to Pablum, this book was somehow sent to him (by mistake?) from the future ... which seems rather odd. But, in any case, it contains a "photographic" record (with running commentary) of lots of FishPig life-events. You should probably buy a copy. |

| ps: If you buy any of
Pablum's art work, you'll notice that he's signed them as "p.fischler",
which is a version of his government-name (Paul Fischler). pps: A few pictures of Pablum are below. |
